the Districts, to determine the proper number of mat
launches required to meet Revetment design limits, to assist
deck foremen in planning and laying individual mats, and to
generate an as-built record of the individual mats composing
the Revetment.

March 12, 2002: Beacon Resources is Featured as Web Site of the Week on
www.cadgurus.com; (Article follows below)
|
In the spirit of supporting local CAD related business, I’d
like you to consider visiting the Beacon Resources website. Beacon
is a civil engineering firm located in Madison, Alabama, not too
far at all from the location of the Cadgurus. (Check out their
website for pictures of our most recent Alabama snow storm)
Don’t laugh!
Not only do they have several downloads and MDL applications
(as well as some pretty blondes) on the site, but also a nifty
little Palm app for grocery shopping called GroceryMate.
Okay, well, maybe it’s a girl thing, but Mary and I liked it
and remember it was developed and written by a man so maybe
there’s hope yet! There’s even a Swedish version. It’s
called LivsmedelsbutikKompis…go figure….
In truth, when I questioned the developer Mike Grounds about
it, he did admit he had to change the font size in the application
to make the name fit. I admire his perseverance.
Not only do I recommend Beacon Resources as a site for this
week, but I also applaud them for an easy to remember web address!
Follow the link above to see why.
