Beacon Resources' State Outlines program provides simple, easy-to-utilize interfaces for generating your own customized color-filled scenarios, including which States are included in the map.  This program utilizes an underlying Access database making it easy to store and recall your defined State color-fill scenarios.  Color-filled State displays are particularly useful for showing the status of individual States in providing responses to requested information, for showing those responses graphically, and for showing the status or progress of States in implementing requested/required program, policies, legislation, or regulations.  Individual State color-fill scenarios can be conveniently stored and then recalled for easy modifications to allow progress over time to be displayed.

State color-filled displays can be shown in either non-projected geographic (latitude/longitude) coordinates, or in a Transverse Mercator (not UTM) projection.  The difference between these two displays is shown below:

Pasting your completed map display into Word or Powerpoint could not be easier.  When the map is generated, the map display is automatically copied to the Windows clipboard, where it can then be simply Pasted into the document.
