| Beacon's Survey
Engineering software has resulted from extensive experience with the
special requirements and unique workflows of our Government
Customers. Beacon has enjoyed a long history of working with various
Districts of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Survey Branch organizations
including the Memphis District, Vicksburg District, Kansas City District,
St. Louis District, and Philadelphia District. All of our Survey
Engineering software which involves geodetic calculations is based upon
actual Corpscon source code which has been integrated into the Beacon
programs.
For the Waterways Experiment Station CADD/GIS Center, Beacon developed a Survey Engineering Monumentation Management System (SEMMS), which is a free program available to interested Government Agencies and A-Contractors. SEMMS is a non-graphical database program which facilitates the import, storage, archival, and retrieval of an organization's survey monumentation. SEMMSView provides a graphic window into the SEMMS monumentation database. Geodetix can be thought of as a graphic Corpscon for performing graphical geodetic calculations or reprojecting fenced areas of a graphic view.
